The core technology of digital thermal transfer printing is color printing thermal transfer Printing Ink, which is made up of thermal sublimation disperse dyes, other chemical additives and water. Because the ink market is used to dividing ink into oiled based ink and Water Based Ink, people called it color printing thermal transfer printing ink when the product appeared in the early market, because this ink belongs to water based ink, and now people are used to calling it thermal sublimation printing ink or thermal transfer printing ink.

Thermal sublimation of thermal transfer printing ink at high temperature. At high temperature, the dye on the paper will directly change from fixed to gas at high temperature, so that the color will be transferred from thermal transfer printing paper to the surface of the article to be transferred.
Some people say that filling ink depends on the display, and if there is no ink, it is necessary to add ink. Then thermal dye sublimation can't display the remaining ink, so how to grasp the timing of filling ink?
1. The filling quantity and printing quantity shall be recorded. How much ink is filled and how many works are printed, as long as you make a record, then the advance of printing is basically close.
2. Weigh. Weigh the ink cartridge before and after filling, so that you can know in your heart when it needs to be filled, and then weigh it, which can generally reach close.
3. By feeling. I use thermal dye sublimation, roughly how much ink is filled, how much is printed, and how long it has been used. As long as I operate it myself, I can still be close.
When printing with thermal transfer ink, special paper is needed. Most companies mainly engaged in screen printing provide such paper. This paper has strong stability and is not easy to shrink after being dried by the dryer. Good transfer paper is very stable, and the ink on it will not penetrate. This kind of paper is called high-quality "impervious paper".

After mastering the paper selected for printing thermal transfer ink, we can further understand that thermal transfer ink for color printing and thermal transfer color printing ink are different from silk screen, gravure printing, offset printing thermal transfer paste, ink and silk screen thermosetting ink.

According to practical experience, the printing form of color printing thermal transfer ink used in desktop printers and photo inkjet printers is plateless printing, and other thermal transfer printing forms are plate printing. In addition, there are qualitative differences in printing quality, such as color saturation and color reproduction. Digital thermal transfer printing has obvious quality advantages, which are as follows:

1. Color printing thermal transfer ink is mainly used to produce personalized products.
2. Screen thermal transfer color paste and gravure thermal transfer color paste are mainly used to produce printing paper for chemical fiber cloth and shoe material cloth, which is suitable for producing low-priced traditional products.
3. Thermosetting ink (thermosol) is mainly used to produce printed paper for cultural shirts and children's wear, which is suitable for producing traditional products.
4. Offset printing thermal transfer ink is mainly used to produce thermal transfer paintings for advertising posters, colorful flags and banners, which is suitable for mass production of advertising products.
